A little about me

Aleksandra Verkhovskaia at an online lesson: wearing a headset and explaining something with both hands towards a laptop

I have taught adults for more than 7 years and given more than 5,000 lessons. I have a university degree in linguistics and translation, and I keep developing my teaching: I have completed courses on teaching English and I attend conferences for English teachers.

I have taught people from many fields, from a chief financial officer and a software developer to a service department employee or an MBA student abroad. That is why I know everybody needs English for something different, and I build the lessons around it.

I teach online, so you can learn from anywhere. I teach English in English, so from the first lesson you do most of the talking. I prepare the materials for you and they are part of the lesson.

How I teach

  • You speak from the first lesson

You do most of the talking. We practise situations you really meet: meetings, phone calls, interviews and ordinary conversation.

  • No fear of mistakes

Mistakes are part of learning. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, so you are not afraid to speak and you gradually gain confidence.

  • Tailored to you

In the first lesson we go through your goals and your level. The content, the pace and the materials are then built around what you need.

  • Materials included

All the learning materials are part of the lesson, with nothing extra to pay.

How we start

  1. Trial lesson

In a 45-minute trial lesson for €10 we get to know each other and find out where your English is.

  2. A plan together

We go through your goals and I recommend a course, in a group or one to one, and how many lessons make sense.

  3. Regular lessons

We learn online at the times we agree, and I build the content around what you need.
